Tahuaroa, meaning 'large open space', is located behind Te Rau Aroha Museum amongst the native trees of the upper Waitangi Treaty Grounds . With its own private entrance, wraparound decking and contemporary design, Tahuaroa has a natural and welcoming feel.

Parking

You will find free parking available for visitors to Waitangi Treaty Grounds right outside the main entrance, in two large carparks with additional parking available across the road on Tau Henare Drive. Accessible car parking is available in the main car park, closest to the main entrance. If you require mobility support from the carpark we have wheelchairs available for use and encourage any accessibility questions or concerns to be raised at the time of booking so we are prepared to cater for your needs on arrival. ​
