There are a number of accommodation options close-by. See the map above for hotels and locations. Please make accommodation arrangements direct with the hotel of your choice. Animals No animals or pets are permitted at the Dunedin Centre except for disability assist dogs. Bus The bus hub is just a short 5-minute walk from the Dunedin Centre located on Great King Street. Car Parking There is no dedicated visitor carpark at the venue. Pay and display carparks are available in the Octagon and in surrounding streets. Located in close proximity to the Dunedin Centre is a secure covered Wilson carpark complex. This facility provides casual parking including early bird parking. Wilsons Parking - Upper Moray Place

Environmental Considerations Our venue endorses sustainable practices for the good of the environment. Recycling stations are located throughout. Assistance with recycling and conservation of power and water is appreciated. A delivery label for exhibitors is available here. Smoking The Dunedin Centre is a SMOKE FREE venue. Dedicated butt bins are located at each of the main entrances of the venue. Taxis A taxi rank is located in the centre carriageway in the Octagon. Wi-Fi The venue has free Wi-Fi throughout. YOUR HEALTH & SAFETY
The team at The Dunedin Centre will comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015. Please take all reasonable practicable steps to ensure what you do or do not do does not adversely affect the health and safety of other people. First Aid First aid kits and a defibrillator are located through the Dunedin Centre and are available for use by the hirer. Dunedin Venues staff have completed first response training, but further professional service providers can be organised by Dunedin Venues upon request Emergencies In the event of an emergency, staff at the Dunedin Centre are trained in emergency response to ensure patron and staff safety from the possibility of injury or death. If there is need for an emergency evacuation, all patrons are to leave the venue as safely and quickly as possible. All event personnel, contractors and Dunedin Venues staff are to meet in the Dunedin City Council car park located on Harrop Street where further instructions will be given. Vertical Divider

Fire
In the event of an emergency and the alarm system sounds, please evacuate the building using your nearest fire exit. The meeting point is the Dunedin City Council car park located on Harrop Street. Do not re-enter the building until the Head Warden has given the all clear. If you discover a fire: • Operate the nearest fire alarm box • Telephone the Fire Service • Dial 111 If you hear an alarm: • On the continuous sounding of the fire alarm, leave the building using the nearest fire exit • Move quickly but do not run • Assemble at Harrop Street carpark • Follow all instructions given by fire wardens / Dunedin Centre staff • Do not linger in rooms or passageways • Do not return to the building until the ‘all clear’ signal is given Earthquake Earthquake • Move away from any equipment or windows • Drop to the ground, get under cover and hold on. • Do not evacuate the building (unless instructed to do so) |
