Mary HobbsAuthor, Writer & Photographer
An Orchestrated Litany of Lies and What to Do About ItAfter a brief introduction, Mary goes over one of her more recent articles, “Erasing an Orchestrated Litany of Lies” and why the phrase, “Know your history or be condemned to repeat it” is so relevant today. She addresses two of the many red flags of history that indicate where the unelected cabals and their side-kicks seek to lead us, and what we can do about it. She touches on tools in our tool-kit that are beyond the reach of those who seek to destroy Human Beings — because they are qualities of the Indomitable Human spirit.
With her combined skills Mary is uniquely placed to help and feels called to do so. She firmly believes that we must do all we can to expose the lies, help bring people the truth, assist the injured and bereaved with compassion and understanding, and to continue to speak our truths loudly and clearly, to create a safer space for others to stand with us and do the same. She peacefully stands, together with others, to protect each one of our Human Rights and our democracy. About Mary...Mary is a former NZRN, and specialised in Coronary Care. She left nursing in search of a more holistic mind, body and spirit approach to health and healing. A communicator and writer at heart, she became involved with publishing which lead to her publishing her own magazine under the title, New Zealand Outside, which she wrote, edited and published for ten years.

The magazine also helped assist disadvantaged young people to turn their lives around through the outdoors. Her magazine won the first National Tourism Media Award - for presentation, success, content and giving back to the community, and had built up a circulation of around 45,000. Since selling the magazine, she has written nine books, eight of which focus on telling inspirational, historical stories of our people and our country. They include best-sellers and combine her photography with writing. Mary joined her mountain and ski guide husband (Charlie Hobbs) at Aoraki Mount Cook Village (and on life-thrilling expeditions) where, in the early days, they found themselves in a David and Goliath battle with a multi-million dollar corporation working with government to take over Aoraki Mount Cook village, excluding competing businesses. Their 10-year battle to build an iconic mountain restaurant and café was finally approved, along with their plans to expand, and permitted other businesses into the National Park, although it took two court battles, another ten years, constant vigilance, creativity, and a rip-roaring book, (Matagouri and Other Pricks – The Journey to Mount Cook) to make it happen.
Since the beginning of the “pandemic” in 2020, Mary has contributed her writing and photography skills to help enlighten, inspire and inform New Zealanders, by shining a strong light on the truth. This began in early 2020, with a weekly update to MPs entitled “From the Trenches” highlighting the negative repercussions of their drastic policies, from the “frontlines”. These updates were regularly shared on National Radio by Peter Williams of Magic Talk - before he was fired. Mary stood up for the adventure operators and guides who continued to be required to pay DOC levies while their businesses were shut down, while multi-million dollar corporations were given millions by government in the same period. With Peter William’s help, they called the former Minister of Finance to account each week, and eventually had the levies halted. She stood up for Simon Thornley and his COVID Plan B plan, writing Open Letters in support. When legacy media viciously attacked the newly formed NZDSOS, she wrote a 10-page open letter to the reporter concerned and has loyally supported them ever since. She and her husband attended Camp Freedom where they witnessed what unfolded, first-hand. Since that time she has been a regular writer for the (New Zealand) online Daily Telegraph and NZDSOS and more recently, with Let Kids Be Kids.
